This place was really nice. The owner seems to have really went out of their way to make this place accommodating for their guests. It sits along the riverfront and we were able to get some dinner to go at a restaurant nearby and people watch on our patio. It has a full shower and a bath/jacuzzi. It was nice to sit in a Epsom salt bath with bubbles (they provided Epsom salt and the soap). The owner seemed to know the area and it's history very well. It was a nice stay. If you are like my wife and I, I would advise you to bring a fan or some other device to drown out the ambient noise, but that is a personal preference. Not everyone is bothered by that and I can't discredit this place because of outside noise. My wife and I found the beds to be slightly uncomfortable, but once again, those are personal preferences. All in all, this was a nice inn to stay at. Nestled right in the middle of Main Street St. Charles right at the heart of all the shops, restaurants, ect. I highly recommend this place if you are out of town, or just looking to get away.

We stayed in the Spanish colonial room. Service was spectacular! We were given a run down of everything in our room as well as local recommendations with a map, the room and bathroom were very clean as well as comfortable, great location as it’s central to everything on Main Street. We will absolutely be staying there again!

I have mixed feelings about this place. One night stay was about $330. I paid in cash but was not given change before I had to leave the following morning. The Thomas Jefferson room was very nice. It was large with several historic artifacts. It has views of Main Street and the Missouri River. The bathroom was very nice. The bed was above average. The tv has very limited channels and was somewhat difficult to use. Having a mini bar was a nice touch. I feel like breakfast would be a nice addition to this room given the price per night. I guess I just feel that it wasn't worth the price in the end. The owner stopped by and gave us a homemade candle.

The inn is ideally located making walking to most things possible. The Inn is historic and kinda cool to stay in but, there are a few things to consider when renting. Whatever is going on in the park is going to sound like it's in your room with you. Octoberfest and all it's bands were with us from morning to 11pm, Friday thru Sunday. Not very relaxing. There are many floor planks in the room that bend while walking over them. I get that it's historic but scared me every time. So we were doing a maze walk trying to stay off the very bendable boards. The shower was great, but the water faucet on the tub was unfinished and looked bad. The body wash was spearmint, menthal, and eucalyptus and hellfire. That soap lit up our personal bits like fire. Not exactly soothing. I wouldn't stay here again for $350 a night. Also where we were told to park was by a tree that dripped sap all over our car and the shrubs/bushes needed trimmed back so you can get up the stairs easier.

I love this place! The owner, Ventia, and Miss Linda were so kind and accommodating. This was the perfect location to enjoy historic downtown. We are from Chattanooga, TN, and chose this location because my husband stayed around here as a child and remembered it being beautiful. It did not disappoint. We stayed in the Napoleon suite and fell in love with it. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

First time staying and was so happy we chose it! Our Spanish Colonial room was beautiful! Loved the soft lighting and charming feel! Everything felt luxurious from the bedding to the towels, and we appreciated the addition of robes and a mini bar. Loved watching the sunrise on the patio. Venetia was very accommodating and allowed for a flexible check-in which was so appreciated! We will definitely be staying here again!

Make staying here one of your resolutions for 2017. I stay in bed and breakfasts all over Missouri and the Midwest, and I honestly feel this experience has been the best I've had, with the most amenities generously provided. The rooms/suites are huge, the setting is beautiful, and we simply didn't have enough time to take advantage of all the things this concentrated area had to offer. The view of the river was spectacular and the hosts were super helpful, but also provided the privacy we like to have when we get away. I will be gifting stays to friends and family in the future because I think everyone should experience this!

Boone's Colonial Inn is an amazing place to stay in historic St. Charles. It is like stepping back in time. The decor is perfect with beautiful antiques, and the restoration of the building was clearly done with a great respect for the historical details. I was fortunate enough to stay in the Thomas Jefferson Suite. The bed was so comfortable, and there is the cutest sitting room that looks over the cobblestone street below. The bathroom was amazing! It had a big multi head shower AND a jacuzzi tub! Off the back of the room there's a balcony area that faces the park and river. A perfect place for a cup of coffee in the morning before you take a walk to explore the quaint downtown area. The building also has a common room with wonderful historical furniture and artifacts. This is a GREAT space to rent for a private party. The owners are wonderful and passionate about historic St. Charles. They are very knowledgeable about the area, so they can help you plan whatever you want to do. I highly recommend this unique property, you won't regret it!
